Digital social entrepreneurship has become an important area of focus for many countries around the world. The combination of social entrepreneurship and digital entrepreneurship skills is seen as a necessity in today’s highly competitive and rapidly changing digital world. The DISYOU (Digital Social Entrepreneurs) project is one initiative that aims to attract more young people to the field of social entrepreneurship by equipping them with the necessary digital skills.
The project has several activities, including the preparation of training content for digital social entrepreneurship skills education, a comprehensive training course on digital social entrepreneurship, and the creation of an online learning environment to support young digital social entrepreneurs. Additionally, the project will hold in-person and virtual project meetings, conduct activities to share project results and reach a wider audience, and ensure quality and sound management of the project. The project is also a collaborative effort between several organizations including the Uluslararası Dijital Girişimcilik Derneği (UDGD) and AtlasCo Academy in Turkey, Innovation Hive in Greece, and AS BCS KOOLITUS in Estonia. The partnership conducted its online Kick-Off meeting and is currently implementing the first activity where partners are delivering 10 modules on digital entrepreneurship.
The aim of the project is to encourage young people to become digital social entrepreneurs by providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to manage and survive the challenges that come with social entrepreneurship. As young people, they are capable of adjusting and trying new initiatives, but they also need to be well-equipped with the tools to navigate the complexities of social entrepreneurship.Digital social entrepreneurs are important for the future of Europe.
