Project Description

This project consists of the development of an online Hackathon events training toolkit for VET educators. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all people and especially people with disabilities, economical problems, older people were affected. This social crisis increased inequality, social exclusion, discrimination, and global unemployment. Given that, the need of promotion of the vocational education and training became urgent. This project aims to providing urgent bottom-up solutions to VET professionals, to support their on-line delivery of trainings, with the development of Hackathon events, to which equal access to all is granted. This will be achieved with 15 e-learning training modules

 
Impact

This project aims to increasing the knowledge on modern e-learning techniques and tools, granting equal access to training modules, increasing expertise. Generally, to bridge the already existing digital knowledge gaps that existed before the Covid-19 outbreak, and were enhanced by it. Furthermore, creating excellence in VET, pioneering in the exploitation of the digital upskilling OER modules, giving guidance on e-learning and giving to the VET professionals the opportunity to introduce themselves online through the training modules. Also, the promotion of VET through local dissemination activities, a better digital skills anticipation mechanism for VET teachers throug trainings, granting access to new training modules, and creating socially engaged and active young generations, using digital tools. Last, this programme assists on the establishment of networks among VET providers. To sum up, to create a collaborative environment for online international learning

Our Role

We are responsible for the development of the online Hackathon events training toolkit for VET educators, and the identification of recent gaps in the learning experiences in the delivery of e-learning due to COVID-19 , through the development of the research methodology (questionnaire and personal interviews). We are also responsible for the design of the MOOC platform and the upload of the existing so far material. The third multiplier event will be hosted by us and AKMI in Greece. We are participating in all activities of the work packages.
