This project consists of the transition to a sustainable economic system is an indispensable part of the new EU industrial strategy. RE-START project encourages and guides students in HEIs to develop a circular start-up or transform their business idea into a circular one following the definition of the circular start-ups which characterizes them as business models based on implementing at least one of the Circular Economy (CE) strategies: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover and Regenerate.
RE-START aims to develop a circular start-up training programme that enhances the entrepreneurial mindset considering circular economy principles and competences of HEIs students, provides them with real-life examples of successful circular entrepreneurs, and encourages them to support and commercialise their circular start-up.
RE-START is a project aiming to the promotion of circular economy for sustainable businesses, through training programmes and learning platforms destinated for students. These programmes will help students develop and present business ideas based on circular economy and get in touch with firms and entrepreneurs.
Our role is to contribute on the preparation of the RE-START Toolkit and on the quest of sustainable business ideas. Innovation Hive will also provide input to the development of the RE-START training materials, allocated to the presentation of ‘The regenerative business model’. Significant feedback to the digital tools, as well training materials, will be provided through the piloting activities to be conducted in Greece.
Lastly, Innovation Hive, as the project’s dissemination leader, is responsible for the promotion of the project and its goals, the publication of the reached milestones, the preparation of all the necessary project documentation, and most importantly, to maximize the project’s impact through making it available to its target groups, students and graduates of HEIs.
